Beneath the Bamboo A Vietnam War Story eBook Stan Taylor
About 62 years ago, Danny Bouchez, Stanley Taylor and I played marbles together. We all three went toVietnam (draftees) a few years later.. Danny;s name is on the wall (sacrificed all), Stanley probably saw the most action with me seeing the least. However, I am 100% disabled and the VA pays me generously. I am so proud of Stanley--will also say I worked for his stepdad the summers of 1966 and 1967---a good boss who mellowed mightily after we kids grew up.. It's all true -- and there was more Stanley did not put in the book.

Beneath the Bamboo A Vietnam War Story eBook Stan Taylor Reviews
I loved my mailman, Stan, before this book. He was always so kind and he used to deliver our mail even when At 16 😊 I parked in front of my mailbox hindering his abilities to do his job efficiently ... But what he has given me is a appreciation for our service men. My father can't speak of his experiences so all I have are those servicemen who can articulate those experiences in books...and for that I'm thankful and supportive. Thk u to Stan and his son for the dedication to write this book. It has given me eyes into a part of my family history too. - your humor and charisma is addictive and your generous spirit is inspiring. Thank you for being you. -- the book is a great read.
Have not finished it yet, but an interesting read so far.
This is my Son....so why wouldn't I like it..I buy several books and give them away because this is a true story from a super MAN
Excellent story about a brave soldier
I also purchased this based on the high reviews it had received. But, being a veteran myself, shortly into the book I began picking up on errors that no true veteran would have made. A 60 caliber machinegun? We had M-2 50 cal's and M-60 30 caliber machineguns, but no 60 calibers. The farther I read into the book the more convinced I became that the author had never been in the military let alone in Vietnam. Then I found out on another review that the author is actually the veterans son writing in the first person instead of the second person. All in all I couldn't recommend this book to anyone. The author has some writing skills, but doesn't appear to have done much if any research on the subject he is writing about. His dad may have a good story to tell, but he needs to find someone with knowledge of the subject of the Vietnam War, or at least someone willing to research it to help him write his story.
Great
A story about a person who lived his life to the fullest regardless of the circumstances surrounding him.
A true living example of a person who did things that he felt was the right thing to do regardless of the danger.
